Cypress Creek Civitan Club
Service Projects
Cypress Creek Junior Civitan Club is a Community Club and was chartered in 2010 by the Cypress Creek Civitan Club. Being a Community Club, it has middle and high school students. They have been involved with several projects: Food Drive, Coat drive for the less fortunate, Bunn Soup Kitchen, painting fire hydrants in Bunn, planting flowers in Bunn, painting the deck at the Safe Space Women's Shelter of Franklin County, fixing Valentine's baskets for the children at WakeMed Hospital, and more.
Junior Civitan's purpose is to provide all of our members with personal and career development opportunities while improving schools and communities through volunteer service. Our commitment to community service is not just a part of Junior Civitan; it drives our efforts as an organization. Each Junior Civitan club has the freedom to select and plan its own service projects. However, there are many international campaigns that all clubs participate in, such as Environmental Awareness, Social Causes, collecting aluminum pull tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Durham, and our annual Collection Selection Campaign where clubs collect food and other items for the less fortunate in their communities.
The Junior Club meets at Bunn High School on the first and third Thursdays at 3:00pm.
